Welcome to Andrea Sabariego's projects&process website.

I'm an interdisciplinary artist based in Granada, Spain. I develop my work in a variety of formats from illustration, photography&expanded visual arts to performing arts. Dance and music are my passions and my first loves.

I believe in the synergies that are created when several people tune into the same creative frequency in the same space and time, even if it is a virtual space. My goal is to create works that merge different disciplines and realities together with interactive technologies to generate new narratives. That combined with global collaboration can help provoke thought and bring about meaningful change in the world.

My many interests and hunger for discovery has led me to amazing adventures outside the arts which I also treasure with love. I believe we are multidimensional beings and none of those dimensions should remain unexplored. My last adventure led me to the Arctic where I hunted northern lights for a living.​

As I love collaboration, I often work with other artists and get involved and work in many artistic projects as an Art director and Art Consulting. 

I also create work on commission for other artists as like illustration, sound scapes or participate as performer. Some of my recent works include:

- Member of Interactive Arts Ensamble. A group of artists from different countries and continents, working towards decolonization of education. We have presented work in "CFP: Children, Youth and Performance Conference" at York University, Toronto, CA. And at Vrystaat Festival in South Africa. 2021

 

- Medea Redux, an online play by Helen Richardson. Greek national theater, 2021. Role: Pythia A’Delphi.
