PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For the final project I created an interactive performance in which the movement of a dancer/performer is transferred to a video composition through a Kinect sensor creating beautiful line graphics. The nature of the graphics and the background images can be changed by the performer itself or by an in site collaborator through an OSC controller in a cellphone. 

The performance results in a real time conversation between the body, video and music. 

For best interaction the composition is projected in real size so the dancer can respond to how its body is being “reflected” in the digital space.
